About

I'm Jarod Kurland — technical lead at a software engineering consultancy by day, and a relentless tinkerer the rest of the time.

This site is my notebook. Expect posts about hobbyist programming, the occasional contribution to whatever open source project I tripped over that week, my home lab and the networking gear that keeps it (mostly) online, and the DIY rabbit holes that follow.

Off the clock

When I'm not staring at a terminal, I'm probably under the hood of a car, on the couch with something heavy playing way too loud, or trying — and failing — to draw something that isn't a duck.

Why "The Shred Thread"?

Two things I love: ripping guitar tones and tight code. The slogan — Low Latency. High Gain. — is the rule for both.

If something here saved you a few hours or just made you smile, you can toss a coin in the tip jar on Ko-fi. No pressure — it keeps the lab lights on and the amps warm.
